Description

A vining variety of anthurium grown for its beautiful foliage instead of flowers. Its green handshape leaves look like marijuana. Likes bright indirect light and temps 65-80. A very unusual plant.

• LIGHT
  This plant will thrive in bright indirect sunlight. Don’t let it get midday direct sun though as the leaves will burn.
• WATER
  Check your anthurium balaoanum weekly, water if top 25% of soil is dry. They want to keep slightly moist but do not want to sit in heavy wet soil or become too dry.
• CARE TIPS
  Anthurium likes porous media but still retains moisture. Media should not be dense because it can inhibit root growth and also causes waterlogging and stores water in the media in large quantities so that it can cause root rot. Anthurium should not be placed in a dry place. This plant can grow optimally in a place that is maintained humidity. Give fertilizer regularly to get optimal growth. Choose the type of NPK fertilizer as a source of nutrition for this plant. Giving fertilizer through the media and can be added with foliar fertilizer too. Use a pot that is suitable for the size of the plant. Rotate the plant once a week to get light on each side for good performance. Cut the leaves that are starting to turn yellow.
